  • "Participant" refers to any individual who enrols in or attends a Programme.
  • "Visitor" refers to any individual who accesses the Site without necessarily enrolling in a Programme.
  • "Materials" refers to any printed glossaries, reading packs, companion booklets, or digital resources provided as part of a Programme.
Section 02

Use of This Website

You may use this Site for personal, non-commercial purposes to learn about Cascadia Loom and its programmes. You agree not to:

  • Use the Site in any manner that disrupts or interferes with its normal operation
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Site or its underlying systems
  • Copy, reproduce, or redistribute any content from the Site without our prior written consent
  • Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to extract content from the Site at scale
  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information through any form on the Site

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to the Site for any Visitor or Participant who does not comply with these terms.

Section 03

Educational Scope

All content on this Site and in our Programmes is provided strictly for general literacy education purposes. Cascadia Loom is an education centre and is not licensed to provide financial advice, investment recommendations, credit counselling, or any regulated financial service under Malaysian law.

Nothing on this Site or in any Programme should be read as a recommendation to take, refuse, restructure, or otherwise act upon any specific financial arrangement, product, or obligation. Participants are encouraged to seek appropriately qualified professional guidance for decisions relating to their personal financial circumstances.

Programme content covers vocabulary, document structure, and general concepts found in common credit-related materials. It is not tailored to the individual circumstances of any Participant.

Section 04

Programme Enrolment

Enrolment in a Programme begins when Cascadia Loom confirms acceptance of your application in writing (by email or letter). Submitting an enquiry form or making a payment does not, by itself, constitute confirmed enrolment.

We reserve the right to decline an enrolment application at our discretion, without being required to give reasons. In such cases, any fees paid in advance will be refunded in full.

Programmes have stated minimum and maximum participant numbers. Where a minimum is not reached, Cascadia Loom may reschedule or consolidate sessions. Participants will be notified with reasonable advance notice in such circumstances, and any fees already paid will either be applied to the rescheduled dates or refunded if the Participant cannot attend.

Section 05

Fees and Payment

Programme fees are as stated on the Site at the time of enrolment. Current fees are:

  • Credit Vocabulary Workshop (Two Sessions) — RM 480
  • Credit Literacy Group Programme (Six Weeks) — RM 1,640
  • Year-Long Credit Literacy Track (Twelve Months) — RM 4,420

All fees are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of printed Materials unless otherwise stated. Fees do not include transport, accommodation, or any personal expenses incurred by the Participant.

Payment terms, accepted methods, and instalment arrangements (where available) are communicated at the time of confirmed enrolment. We reserve the right to adjust fees for future programme intake; fees for a confirmed enrolment will not change after confirmation.

Cascadia Loom is not responsible for fees charged by your bank or payment provider in connection with your payment.

Section 06

Cancellation and Rescheduling

Cancellation by Participant

If you wish to cancel your confirmed enrolment, please notify us in writing as early as possible. Our standard cancellation terms are:

  • More than 14 days before the first session — full refund of fees paid, less an administrative processing fee of RM 50
  • 7 to 14 days before the first session — 50% refund of fees paid
  • Fewer than 7 days before the first session — no refund, though we will attempt to offer a transfer to the next available intake

For the Year-Long Credit Literacy Track, cancellation after the first session has taken place will be considered on a pro-rata basis, calculated against sessions attended. Please contact us directly to discuss your circumstances.

Cancellation by Cascadia Loom

In the event that we are required to cancel a Programme due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control (including but not limited to insufficient enrolment, venue unavailability, or significant disruption to normal operations), we will notify Participants as promptly as practicable and offer a full refund of fees paid, or the option to transfer to a future intake.

Section 07

Participant Conduct

Participants are expected to engage with sessions in a respectful and collaborative manner. Our sessions are discussion-based and educational; we ask all participants to treat facilitators and fellow participants with courtesy.

Cascadia Loom reserves the right to remove a Participant from a Programme, without refund, if their conduct materially disrupts the learning environment or is found to be disrespectful or harmful to others.

Materials provided as part of a Programme are for the personal use of the enrolled Participant only. They may not be reproduced, distributed, or resold without the prior written consent of Cascadia Loom.

Section 08

Intellectual Property

All content on this Site — including text, layout, design, illustrations, programme descriptions, and Materials — is the intellectual property of Cascadia Loom or its content providers, and is protected under applicable Malaysian and international intellectual property laws.

You may view, print, and save pages from this Site for personal, non-commercial reference. You may not reproduce, publish, distribute, or create derivative works from Site content without express written permission from Cascadia Loom.

Where third-party content appears on this Site (such as map embeds or typeface licences), the intellectual property of those parties remains with them, and their respective terms apply.

Section 09

Limitation of Liability

Cascadia Loom provides all Site content and Programme content in good faith for educational purposes. We do not represent that any content is comprehensive, free from error, or applicable to any individual's specific circumstances.

To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, Cascadia Loom shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental loss arising from your use of the Site or participation in a Programme, including decisions made on the basis of content encountered in a Programme or on the Site.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other matter that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Section 11

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.

If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable under applicable law, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
